I say that to say that the SSD had nothing to do with this issue. PS: This problem occurred just before I installed the SSD, but thinking it would be an easy fix, and being in a rush, I just cloned the old drive to the new SSD. Can somebody show me how to get to those duplicate files and delete them, so I can free up the space on my computer? Flexible comparison settings Use 6 different methods to find similar or duplicate photos, even those edited in external programs such Photoshop, regardless of image size or format. Add more photos from your iPhoto, Aperture or Lightroom library via the Media window. I am used to the world of Windows where you just find the file and delete it. I then went to the iPhoto app and could not find the trash there either. i thought i was only deleting duplicates it seems to have deleted all. So, I did more research and learned that the trash is actually to be found in the Photos app. Photosweeper has deleted my whole library. When I choose File > Export on these photos, I get an error message: The export operation failed to create a file for the photo identified below: Example.jpeg Unknown Error (4) When I click Reveal in Finder, nothing happens. Suddenly the disk space was reduced to practically zero. Ever since it was migrated to a Photos library, there have been issues with exporting photos from late 2013 through mid 2015. I have a mid-2012 Macbook Pro with a 500gb SSD. Where is the PhotoSweeper trash folder? I cannot find it in neither the Photos app nor the iPhoto app.
